A few months ago, with this fantastic team (Leonardo Pastore, Guillermo César ElÃas, Pablo Suarez, and Adolfo Schmidt), we did the “crazy” thing of recording using the acoustic mechanical system to understand better the difficulties and problems performers had to overcome when recording music over 100 years ago.
The objective of this work is to demonstrate the direct influence of technology on musical performance. This experience was another stage in the research I’ve been conducting in this area and want to share with anyone interested.
The documentary “Gardel’s Guitars – Acoustic Experience” is now available on YouTube so everyone can see the process and results of recording with vintage equipment.
